On October 29, 2009 the Bay Area Chamber helped celebrate the renovation of Brian's House new wing with a ribbon cutting.

Brian's House - a division of McLaren HomeCare Group, is a 19-bed residential/Inpatient hospice facility designed to provide compassionate care for terminally ill patients and their families. A $1.2 million expansion community fundraising campaign, conducted in 2008/2009 by Bay Medical Foundation, resulted in seven brand new patient suites being added to the original 12. McLaren Visiting Nurse and Hospice offers the only full-spectrum hospice program in the region, from inpatient care to care in the home.
