THE Bay City movie returns to the screen here on Wednesday at the State Theatre.

The movie is, of course, Meltdown, the flick that caused a sensation at its Midwest premiere here Oct. 30.

The theatre was so jammed the promoters decided to have another showing to accommodate the demand.

This is a wild shoot 'em up film is about an undercover FBI agent whose cover is blown and has the FBI and a mob turn against him. His only hope is a gorgeous agent who stands by him, through thick and thin and hails of bullets.

This is a Christopher J. Martin film in which the native Bay Cityan directs and stars. Clare native Andrea Tice is co-star and producer. The film was a production of Cinema Vision, a local firm headed by Scott Carmona and Shannan Weston.

Locations in the film include the Bay County Building, outside St. Laurent Bros., the old Kuhlman plant at 26th and Garfield, a stretch of Broadway, Pulaski Hall, Omni-Source (where one of the opening scenes features a car explosion) and many others.

Many local and Clare people have bit parts in the film and a major player is former Bay City firefighter Vern Zaucha in the role of "The Dragon," an ominous crime boss who carries a snake-headed cane.

Hollywood veterans Joe Estevez and Robert Zdar are headliners. All stars except the Hollywood pair will be on hand for the repeat of the premiere.

Tickets are $5.
