ABAA Boxing Team win 2010 East Michigan Jr Golden Gloves Team Championship

Bay City's American Boxing & Athletic Association (ABAA) Boxing Team won the 2010 East Michigan Junior Golden Gloves Team Championship Saturday at Birch Run's Expo Center.

Winners Saturday, March 27, 2010:

  • Brian Hacker 132# over Christian DeLuca (Pontiac)
  • Jesse Verala 125# over Vincent Poules (Pontiac)
  • Brenden Mulligan 90 # over Ricky Salinas (Pontiac)

    Bay City's Junior Golden Glovers went undefeated through out the tournament.
    Winning Junior Golden Gloves Titles:

  • Aaron Kowalski 132# defeated Richard Trevino (Pontiac)
  • Tristin Morse 114# defeated Sinsalin Tray (Flint)
  • Devin Tomkins 112# won over Dominik Headrick (Davison)
  • Dakota Lowe 210# uncontested

    • *Bay City's Matt Maciag dropped a weight division and will be representing East Michigan April 9 & 10 at the Wyoming National Guard Armory in the Michigan Golden Gloves Championship Tournament.

    ABAA Boxing will present a spring boxing show on May 1, 2010 at the National Guard Armory in Bay City.
