Boxing Newcomers Steal the Show
At Annual Bay City Boxing Event

ABAA Presented A Fast & Furious Boxing Show
at Michigan National Guard

On May 1, 2010 at the National Guard Armory, the American Boxing & Athletic Association (ABAA) presented its annual Spring Boxing Show.

15 bouts were on the fight card. It was fast and furious boxing as teams from through-out Michigan tangled together in the boxing ring.

Super athlete boxing newcomers stole the show as they showcased their athletic abilities in their first boxing match ever.

Bay City's 20 year old wrestling champion, David O'Neil, was featured in the main event of the night. O'Neil machined his way to victory, exhausting his opponent Phuong Nguyen and won by retirement 37 seconds into the 3rd round.

Coach Robert Arsenault, said, "David dominated the fight, he did very well and followed directions to the T."

Another newcomer to the boxing scene, Body Builder, Chad Hugo (Above), 28, of Bay City, and owner of Seung-Ni Fit Club knocked down his opponent, Daryl Lockhart, twice in the first round and won by RSC. Coach Arsenault said, "Chad was very aggressive, and ended the match with an effective combination of body shots to his opponent.

Hugo also won his match in his first ever Mixed Martial Arts cage fight the weekend before.

Other ABAA victories included Dakota Lowe, who is no stranger to the boxing ring, and first time fighter Jay Jackson.
