The family of Brenda and Keith Rowley of Bay City has established a new Camp Scholarship program for children from Bay County who have an interest in attending an overnight resident camp that is sponsored by a faith based organization.
Under the administration of the Bay Area Family Y, the ?Rowley Faith Based Resident Camp Scholarship Program? has been established to provide an overnight camping experience for selected children who reside in Bay County.
The program will provide a limited number of partial scholarships (approximately $250 per scholarship) to camps operated by faith based organizations, especially Springhill Camps, Camp Barakel, and YMCA resident camps such as Camp Timbers operated by the Saginaw Y.
Consideration for scholarships is determined by the completion of a scholarship application. Forms and additional information is available by contacting Y Marketing Specialist Rebecca Kaiser. Scholarship applications will not be accepted after June 30, 2010.
The fund is managed by the Bay Area Community Foundation. Contributions for the fund are certainly welcome from other individuals and groups by contacting the Bay Area Community foundation directly.
