Catholic Federal 5K at The Labadie Pig Gig

The Catholic Federal Credit Union 5K race will be one of the premier events for this year's Labadie Pig Gig presented by State Farm in Bay City's Vets Park August 5th through the 8th. The Catholic Federal 5K Race will be held Saturday, August 7, 2010.

The Catholic Federal 5K race starts at 10:30a.m. on Saturday morning. Late registration will be held at 8:45 a.m. through 10:15 a.m. on race day. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Toni and Trish House. Trained volunteers at the Toni and Trish House offer shelter, meals, and personal care for the guest and their family. The house is here to support and serve as a resource for understanding palliative end of life care.



The course will be a challenge! Starting in Vet's Park and going over Vet's Bridge, through downtown, and coming back across Liberty Bridge, to finish right back in Vet's Park.



Top Winners will win a Piggy Bank filled with a $100.00! Run awards will be handed out to 1st place over all male and female and to the top 2 finishers in each group. Walk awards will also be handed out to the top 5 finishers overall, male and female.

Every child will receive a shirt and an award; free entry to the Labadie Pig Gig for all registered runners/walkers to enjoy the festival and music sounds of 2006 American Idol winner Taylor Hicks along with country music sensation Gloriana!

Entry fee before July 17, 2010 with a shirt is $20 and without a shirt is $15. The fee increases by $5 after July 17, 2010. Kids Race entry is only $7. The race is not only for runners, but walkers as well!





Taylor Hicks is the American Idol 2006 winner; known for his soul and blues music. He has performed with the likes of James Brown, Tom Petty, and Snoop Dogg. Taylor is currently touring with Broadway Musical Grease as Teen Angel. Come see Taylor Hicks live August 7th 2010 at the Labadie Pig Gig presented by State Farm.

The Labadie Pig Gig presented by State Farm is held in Veterans Memorial Park, August 5th through the 8th 2010. The event features a national rib competition, nightly musical concerts, the Coors Light tent, Covenant Health Care Hospitality tent, the Dow Family Stage, Pig Racing, children's activities and of course the Catholic Federal 5K. Dow Corning & The Great Lakes Loons sponsor the charity area which benefits over 20 area charities.
