He said there are 17 bars in the Midland Street area and a group of the owners of businesses is working on various promotions to increase business. Beth Dore, of Duso's, is among those working on the project, that may include a historical tour of the West Side.

You can be in business immediately with the Big House (now operating under the name Brady's Sports Bar) for just $485,000.

Mr. Dore already owns the Hooters at the foot of Midland on the river, a hot spot for local wings, beer and fun, another Hooters on West Side Saginaw Road in Saginaw, one in Traverse City and one in Port Huron.

The Big House, where the charity casino gambling concept began in Bay County, and the Hen House Restaurant, have great potential, according to the sales material posted online by MichiganRestaurantBroker.com for Griffin Restaurant Group, Southfield.
