Night Brings Another Perspective On Tall Ships

July 16, 2010
By: Stephen Kent

The majority of people will visit the Tall Ship Celebration during the day. After hours, the riverfront is closed to the public and the atmosphere becomes quiet and relaxed.

A few crew members stroll the seawall promenade, low conversation and perhaps a laugh drift on the night air. The most activity is the security guards who watch the entrances, walk the area or ride silently by in their electric carts.

About a dozen photographers could be seen coming and going with their tripods and taking time exposures on Veteran's Bridge. It was a very different feeling after the crowds and excitement of the day.
