Sixteen players suited up for the 42nd Paddleball Turkey Tourney at the Bay Area Family Y on Saturday in Bay City.

It was the first time in the storied history of the tournament that a father played against his son in the Finals.

The son, Scott Wittbrodt defeated his father Bill in the final match of the day 21-13, 21-5. Scott teamed with Saginaw's Jody Henning to defeat Bill who was partnered with Bay City's Steve Roe.

First place took home trophies as well as two frozen turkeys donated by McCoy Heating and Cooling Co.

Taking home a "ring of bologna" was the third place team of Randy Wackerle and Joe Siniff. The Bay City lefties defeated Sandy Degreif and Joe Todd in two games 21-10, 21-15

42 YEARS -- 2009 Winners were Scott Carmona and Sandy DeGreif. 2010 Winners are Scott Wittbrodt and Jody Hennings.
