Have you ever wanted to know how to knit, but wish you could learn along
with your friends? You're in luck!
Grades 5-12 are invited to the Sage
Branch Library, 500 E. Midland St., Bay City, on the first and third
Tuesdays of the month (January 4, 18, February 1, 15) from 3:30 to 4:30 pm
to begin making some cool kitted projects beginning with a scarf! Everyone
will complete a project. The best part is, there's no fee to attend AND the
library will supply the yarn and needles for your first project!
You must register with the Fiction Desk either in person or at 892-8555 ext.

Create Valentines for Troops at the Bay County Library System
Valentine's Day can be a lonely time for the men and women serving overseas.
Help the Bay County Library System tell these brave people how much they are
appreciated by creating a special Valentine! Children and their families
are invited to get creative and send an anonymous message, which is sure to
brighten the hearts of anyone missing home on Valentine's Day.
Each branch
of the Library System will supply all materials needed to make a great
Valentine. Our project partner, Soldiers Angels, will distribute your
loving creations to those serving overseas (please note that these cards
cannot be delivered to specific individuals).
