World War II Movie Being Filmed in Upper Level of Lucky's Pub in Bay City

Gear Stone Pictures is back shooting another movie in Bay City, for their 2nd largest film production in Bay City.

On Sunday, January 2, 2010 the film crew were working on the set above Lucky's Pub and will also be using the basement of the Westown and Midland Street Jacks. (Owners, Jay Samborn, John McCallum, Bruce Falcon)

The movie is called "The Soldier and The Demon" a World War II (1940's) movie. A Young solider, a Medium and A Demon get involved in the cult of the Stalingrad in Russia. Filming will begin this week.

MyBayCity.com interviewed D. D. Ridley, Executive Producer of Phat Pak Productions and Art Director, Geralyn Clark from Gear Stone Pictures.

Gear Stone Pictures were recently working on the movie called "The Final" filmed at the Prestolite Building in Bay City in October and November of 2010.

Clark, said, "A lot of people don't realize the unique and rich culture and treasures in Bay City, we plan to utilize many local businesses in our productions as much as we can." Clark continued " We are so excited to film here in Bay City and will be also filming some outdoor scenes in the Bay City Area."

According to Clark they will be filming through January 8, 2010. The Base Camp of the cast and crew which includes approximately 30 people, is at the Diamond Ball Room and Midland Street Jacks is doing all the catering while the crew is filming.

Co-Owner of Westown, Midland Street Jacks and Lucky's Pub Bruce Falcon, will also take part in the movie as a soldier, Falcon also performed a part in the movie THE FINAL last year.

Falcon gave MyBayCity.com a tour through the three buildings, where the filming will take place.

The full cast and crew will be filming this week including actress, Lauren Francesca of New York, (who is known for her Lady GaGa parody's) Actor, Scott Marlatt of Detroit and Ewan Bourne, a Bay City Native.

Gear Stone offices recently moved over to the West Side of Bay City, to 1201 S. Euclid but have been in business for approximately 5 years.

Gear Stone produces all sizes and assortments of productions, including commercials, music videos, short films and feature films, plus more.

The film company Phat Pak Productions are going on their 3rd year of producing. Phat Pak Productions is a dedicated and determined part of the Michigan film industry. Their goal is to make great films in a great state.
