MyBayCity.com revisited the set of the upcoming movie "The Soldier and The Demon" by Gear Stone Pictures and Phat Pak Productions. Being filmed at Lucky's Pub and also parts of the basement of the Westown and Midland Street Jacks.

The setting . . . 1940's, World War II.

A news photographer, Erick (Portrayed by Ewan Bourne) films the battle and gets involved in the cult of the Stalingrad in Russia.

After a harsh attack in the trenches, the news photographer finds himself alone, stumbling into an old Russian Theater Hall and meets up with an SS Demon portrayed by Scott Marlatt.

Erick bonds with the demon and a Female Russian Refuge, portrayed by Lauren Francesca of New York. According to Bourne, who is also owner of Gear Stone Pictures, the story is based on several historical events that took place during the time of Hitler.

Bourne said, "The sets (location) here on Midland Street have the perfect character we were looking for. We like the character of Bay City locations and recently filmed some outdoor action scenes in Kawkawlin."

According to Bourne, the cast includes approximately 15 actors. Including Bay City's Bruce Falcon. Co-owner of Lucky's Pub Westown and Midland Street Jacks. Falcon said, "This is the second film I had a role in, the other was called "The Final.

"I get killed in both movies,", Laughed Falcon.

Falcon continued, "It's great to have the cast & crew filming here in Bay City and its good for the city. It certainly generated revenue for the area."

Bourne said that Falcon and Midland Street Jacks have been very accommodating as far as catering meals for the entire cast and crew. "We are also using the Diamond Ball Room as our camp base", said Bourne.

The beautiful Lauren Francesca, actress from New Year, was named best web parody of 2010 by Entertainment Weekly. Francesca said, she has been acting on & off her whole life. And also was a professional dancer and is involved in a number of charities.

"This is my first time in Michigan, and I love it." Francesca said, "It's awesome working with Bourne and it is very inspiring to see him creating a variety of opportunities for himself at his age."

Scott Marlatt, nicknamed "The Wall," portrays the Lead Demon in the movie. MyBayCity interviewed him as he was getting his makeup done. It was almost unsettling as the 6ft. 8 inches tall actor, weighing in at approximately 300 hundred pounds, put in his evil contact lenses.

Marlatt was born in Lansing, but has moved around a lot including Detroit, Arizona. Marlatt also starred in the movies, "Real Steal" and "Machine-gun Preacher". The actor has also worked as a personal body guard and also worked security at clubs.

Filming will continue through the middle of the upcoming week and readers should stayed tuned to MyBayCity.com for a pre-showing of the film in Bay City around March of this year.
