Catholic Federal Credit Union (CFCU), www.cathfcu.com with locations in Bay City, Saginaw, Essexville and Vassar, takes great pride when it comes to their involvement in the Great Lakes Bay Area community.

CFCU's sponsorship of the Rock This Country fundraiser, this past Sunday at Prime Event Center in Bay City, was just another way for CFCU to "give back" to the community as well as supporting the troops overseas.

Bridget Looby, VP of Development and Community Relations for CFCU was elated over the event's success.

"It's all about the music, the fun event and giving back to the community and supporting the troops," Looby said. "This is a great event to be involved with. It fits Catholic Federal's motto "People helping People." Looby went on, "Music & sports are the two things that bring people together -- people of all ages are having fun here -- I look around see people of all ages experiencing the diversity of music, it is a great community event to be a part of," Looby said.

The Fundraiser benefited D Street Entertainment Foundation, Yellow Ribbon Guard and Area Family Charities.

"I can't think of a better way to support the community then an event like this," Demott said. "We are recording the show and then will re-broadcast for the troops," Demott went on. "It will be a little piece of home for the troops."
