Rod Adams - Perennial Master of Ceremonies
This will be the 7th trip to the HOF banquet podium for Toastmaster Adams.
Master of Ceremonies, Rod Adams will be front and center again at the 14th Annual Bay County Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet on Saturday, October 23rd.
This trip to the podium will be the seventh overall and fifth in a row for Adams, who has now become the event's perennial toastmaster.
"Adams is the perfect guy to have at the podium," said Hall of Fame President, O.J. Cunningham. "He (Adams) blends the perfect mix of jokes, anecdotes and sports knowledge into his 2-hour stint at the microphone."
When asked why he keeps coming back to MC, Adams, who donates his time to the event, joked, "The pay is really good,", he laughed. "Honestly, I just love being involved with the history of sports in the community," Adams said. "I know almost everybody involved. I'd probably be there anyway."
In addition to the induction of new members into the Hall of Fame, $500 scholarships will be handed out to student athletes from local area high schools.
The doors open at 4:30 PM with a cash bar and a chance to meet with old friends and athletes. Dinner is at 6:30 PM and the induction ceremony begins right at 8:00 PM. Get more information at
