Deputy City Manager/City Clerk Dana Muscott said the City Election Commission has revised Bay City's ward boundaries to create 9 single-precinct wards under a new configuration.

The proposed new ward map provides for 2,700 voters per ward/precinct, under the state limit of 2,999 voters per ward.

The Election Commission is composed of the City Clerk, City Assessor and City Attorney.

The proposed map was presented at the May 2 meeting of the City Commission and will be up for second reading and action to approve at the next meeting.
