Mark Farner's 'Concert For Life'

Mark Farner, formerly of Grand Funk Railroad performed the 1st annual 'Concert for Life". Held at the Bay City State Theater, Friday night, May 6, 2011.
'Concert for Life' benefited the University of Michigan Transplant Center Camp for Kids.
Opening Acts were, Stewart Francke, Mirage and Hunter Brucks with Tasha Lord.
Farner had the crowd on the feet, dancing in the isles and singing along, a standing ovation at concert end.
Farner also performed a tribute to the soldiers with the song 'A little Closer to Home'. Farner said, "For all Vietnam Veterans, We Love you and will Never Forget you!"
Mike Bacigalupo, Executive Director of the State Theater, said,
"The Mark Farner Concert was a blast, the crowd absolutely loved seeing this Michigan Icon sing in their hometown." Bacigalupo continued, "A great time was had by all, thanks to all who came out and supported the U of M Transplant Center Camp For Kids."
