Pinconning Couple Have Mega Flower Collection

Super Cascade Lilac Petunias to be exact!

When driving by Ric & Jan Averill's house at 3757 Kaiser Road in Pinconning, you can't help but notice the abundance of Petunias in their front yard.

For the past 15 years, Ric & Jan Averill have been planting over 35 flats of Super Cascade Lilac Petunias around their residence. This year alone the Averill's have spent over $500.00 on Flowers!

"We were shopping for paint colors for our shutters, and we found the color we wanted. It was just perfect. Then we went flower shopping and found the flowers" Said Jan Averill. "Since that time we've just kept buying the same flower for the past 15 years." Ric Averill Continued.

The couple have resided at their Kaiser Road residence now for just about 3 years and plan on continuing to plant the flowers in their abundance of 8 flower beds and over 30 hanging pots, as long as they are physically able to.

"We've been married now for 45 years and this is what we do in our free time" said Jan Averill. "Our payment for doing all of this is when people will drive real slow by our house and just look, it's fun for us!"
