Lights Concert - A Journey Xperience performed to the largest crowd yet at the Wenonah Park Bandshell for the Bay Arts Council's Wednesdays in the Park.
Once again, the weather was perfect for a night on the water with friends, tasty treats and music. Many vendors offered food and drink for the busy crowd. BBQ, caramel corn, popcorn, pizza and roasted nuts were some of the options.
Shining Star Dance Academy warmed up the audience. Neon leotards were all a blur as the students danced across the stage. Future opening acts include The Baytones, The Valley Rhythm Cloggers and The Bay City Steelers Steel Drum Band.
Shawn Doyle and Josh Sharrow from www.lastchoicecountry.com welcomed Yeo and Yeo CPA's and Business Consultants to introduce the band. Yeo and Yeo were sponsors for this event.
Lights Concert-Journey Concert Xperience sounded remarkably like the original band. The lead singer pulled off Steve Perry very well, not just in looks but also with his voice. When they performed "Sherry" it felt like the real Journey was on stage. "The Journey tribute put on a really great show. The lead singer pulled off Steve Perry pretty well," said Jin Jung from Bay City.
Wednesdays In The Park continue next week (7/20/2011) with Switchback-American Roots, Celtic Soul. Their music can be described as Progressive Folk / Roots Rock / Celtic. July 27 Parrots of the Caribbean-A Tribute to Jimmy Buffet will play followed by Phil Dirt & the Dozers on August 3rd.
