NBA Superstar Jason Richardson Spins Records at the Westown In Bay City

Jason Richardson an NBA Superstar who last played for the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association recently made a special appearance at the Westown on Midland Street in Bay City. Richardson was the feature guest and was on stage spinning tunes with DJ Factor.

Richardson, 30 years old, 6'6", 225 lb. - shooting guard/small forward. Richardson was taken by the Golden State Warriors as the fifth overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft from Michigan State, earning the NBA Rookie Challenge MVP and All-Rookie Team First Team honors his debut season in the league.

Richardson is regarded as one of the NBA's most demonstrative dunkers, winning the NBA Slam Dunk crown in 2002 and 2003, joining Michael Jordan and Nate Robinson as the competition's only back-to-back champions.

Co-Owner of Westown, Bruce Falcon said, "Richardson has the same agent as Barry Sanders and Lamarr Woodley and we were hoping they might also show up, as we heard all three were golfing together in the area earlier that day."

Richardson was born in Saginaw, Michigan and graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1999. Having led the Arthur Hill basketball team to the Class A championship game. Richardson was Mr. Basketball of Michigan and a McDonald's High School All-American in his senior year.

In his freshman season with the Spartans basketball team at Michigan State University, Richardson averaged 5.1 points per game in 37 games (including three starts) and made 50.3% of attempted field goals

Professional basketball career stops have included Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Charlotte Bobcats and the Golden State Warriors.


It was a full house Friday night at the Westown night club on Midland Street in Bay City for the night's attraction
