The Michigan Idol Show hosted by www.LastChoice Country.com is held every Wednesday at the Willew Lounge located at East Midland Rd., in Bay City. (Show starts promptly at 8:00 with warm-ups starting at 7:00pm)
July 27th was the second week of the 8-week competition. Contestants are scored on a Point system that is based on:
Vocal Ability,
Stage Presence,
Over All Attitude,
Appearance,
Crowd Reaction.
Entry is Free and contestants can join in at anytime during the 8 weeks. To be eligible for prizes, contestants must make 5 appearances/performances out of the 8 weeks.
Last week, there were two fill-in judges for Hairball John, who was out on a '80s theme boat cruise and Tommy Anderson who also was away on a previous engagement -- Anderson is a magician who was out performing his magic show.
Thanks to Jodi K, morning show co-host from the WCEN 94.5, The Moose and Chuck Kirkbride, Karaoke Extraordinarie for their special appearance as Michigan Idol Judges.
Jody K (Kerry), morning show co-host of WCEN 94.5, The Moose, said that she ,"Loves the Michigan Idol contest going on at the Willew on Wednesdays!
Kerry continued, "I had the opportunity to judge as a fill-in this past week and there are some great singers in the Great Lakes Bay Region. It's wonderful that they have an opportunity to showcase their talent in this competition. I can't wait for next week!"
According to Josh Sharrow, Show Host, a special acoustic performance by Andy Reed of the Verve Pipe will be showcased at Willew on the last week of the competition.
The winner of the Michigan Idol singing competition will win Studio recording time with Andy Reed, also a spot as a concert opener at the State Theater in Bay City. Sharrow added, also if it's a country performer they will have air time on www.LastChoiceCountry.com
