Energize Bay Area Young Professionals-80's Style

Headbands, Neon and Leggings, Oh my!

The weather looked like it might be uncooperative, but it was smooth sailing in the end for the Energize Bay Area Young Professionals Network and their 80's theme cruise on the Princess Wenonah. Not only were close to 150 young professionals from Bay, Saginaw and Midland on board, there were an abundance of scrunchies, jumpsuits and fanny packs to be found everywhere, as guests did it up in their best 1980's fashions.

Spirits were high and the 3 hour cruise got off to a great start promptly at 6pm with Shawn Doyle of Impact Sound Entertainment, spinning the likes of Flock of Seagulls, Madonna, Bow Wow Wow and some good old 80's hair band rock. Guests enjoyed cold beverages, appetizers, a nice breeze and calm waters out into the Bay.

Stacie Hegenauer, the current Chair of Energize's Event Committee, was pleased with the turn-out and the night's festivities. "We learn something at every event we plan that helps us to make each event bigger and better", she stated. "It's a great opportunity for professionals to network and promote themselves in a fun atmosphere".

If all the smiles and laughs, animated conversations, crowd participation in the best-dressed contest and lively dancing that took place were any indication, this event was certainly enjoyed by all who attended.
