Week 3 of Willew's Eight Week Singing Competition

It's a Ten !!

Ten contestants that is, performed at the 3rd week of the Michigan Idol Show held at the Willew Lounge located at Two Mile and Midland Road on Bay City's West Side.

Contestants can sign up Next Wednesday at 7:00pm, (No entry fee required). The Michigan Idol Show starts promptly at 8:00pm with host Josh Sharrow from handling the music and the introductions.

Contestants must have 5 performances out of the 8 weeks of competition to qualify for finals. But contestants can join at anytime during the 8 week competition.

Contestants are scored a on Point System that is based on: Vocal Ability, Stage Presence, Over-All Attitude, Appearance and Crowd Reaction.

The panel of celebrity judges include: Hairball John, 80's on-air personality, Country Artist and former winner of Michigan Idol Dani Vitany and Tommy Anderson from the Paisley Fogg Band.

Idol Judges give their personal critique and observations after each performance based on their own musical background and try to assist contestants concerning what they need to work on to improve their performance -- so they might earn a place in the finals.

Hairball John was impressed with the contestants. "Last night's performers showed a lot of passion for the music," he said.

Hairball John continued, "A few of the contestants definitely rose to the occasion as future "stars in the making" by choosing songs that better fit their abilities after heeding suggestions from the judges from previous weeks.

Hairball John added, "I am thrilled to be involved and sincerely appreciate each contestant's commitment and willingness to 'step up to the microphone each week."

The winner of the Michigan Idol singing competition will win Studio recording time with Andy Reed as well as a spot as a concert opener at the State Theater in Bay City. Contest organizer Josh Sharrow added that if the winner is a country performer, they will have air time on
