Annual Celebrity Cook Off Held to Benefit Area Charities

Ribs were flip'n fast on Friday for the annual Celebrity Rib Cook at the Labadie Pig Gig Presented by State Farm.
Television, Radio & Media celebrities battled for the best celebrity BBQ sauce as they raised money for area charities. It was free entry from noon to 1:00pm for rib eaters as they cast their vote for best rib sauce! The first 100 voters received a gift bag compliments of the Bay City Mall

Country Great Phil Vassar performed at 7:11. Country fans enjoyed a great night of country music and perfect weather. Saganing Eagles Landing & Soaring Eagle hosted a "Meet & Greet" following the show. Mandi Layne & The Lost Highway band opened the night's Big Stage entertainment.
Phil Vassar is an American country music artist. Vassar made his debut on the country music scene in the late 1990s, co-writing singles for several country artists, including Tim McGraw ("For a Little While", "My Next Thirty Years"), Jo Dee Messina ("Bye, Bye", "I'm Alright"), Collin Raye ("Little Red Rodeo"), and Alan Jackson ("Right on the Money"). In 1999, he was named by American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) as Country Songwriter of the Year.
