Week Four of Michigan Idol Show Continues at Willew

The Michigan Idol Show is in its 4th week of the singing competition being held at the Willew Lounge every Wednesday night.

"The last 4 weeks of the competition have been great," said Michigan Idol Host Josh Sharrow. "We've seen some awesome talent come through the Willew."

"I think the next 4 weeks," Sharrow continued, "the contestants need to step up their game if they're planning on winning this competition."

The winner of the Michigan Idol singing competition will win Studio recording time with Andy Reed as well as a spot as a concert opener at the State Theater in Bay City. Contest organizer Josh Sharrow added that if the winner is a country performer, they will have air time on LastChoiceCountry.com

The panel of judges for week four included: Hairball John, 80's on-air personality, Diane Szczepanski, Guest Judge and Shawn Doyle, LastChoiceCountry.com Radio Personality.

Music lover, Diane Szczepanski filled in for regular Idol Judge Dani Vitany, who was out of town in Nashville on music business. Vitany was also scheduled to visit with music star Josh Carter of the Carter Twins during her Nashville trip.

Szczepanski, said she's a fanatical music lover, who's surrounded by musician friends and family. "It's a treat to be a judge in the competition," Szczepanski said.

Szczepanski added, "There's some really great talent here in Bay City and I'm sure the competition will heat up at the Willew these last 4 weeks!"

Shawn Doyle said, "It's the middle of the contest. Keep your eye on those youngsters. The competition will only get better during the last 4 weeks."

Idol Judges give their personal critique and observations after each performance based on their own musical background and try to assist contestants to give them the edge and to work on what it takes to earn them a spot in the winners circle.

Contestants are scored a on Point System that is based on: Vocal Ability, Stage Presence, Over-All Attitude, Appearance and Crowd Reaction.
