Delta College Students Now Have Easier Path to Degrees at CMU, FSU, EMU

To facilitate an easy transfer of credits for those students pursuing a bachelor's degree, Delta has signed three new articulation agreements with state universities.
The universities are Ferris State, Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan.
Almost 50 percent of Delta College students go on to earn a bachelor's, according to college officials.
The college released the following details about the new agreements:
The new Delta College and Ferris State University, Big Rapids, agreement will allow Delta's Associate of Applied Science degree graduates in various health programs a smooth transfer into the Ferris Bachelor of Science in Allied Health degree. This agreement will benefit students that have graduated, or have successfully completed at least 30 credits and are waiting to start their clinical rotation. Students can take courses concurrently at both institutions and complete most of their Ferris bachelor degree program requirements online or locally while they wait to begin clinical coursework.
The Allied Health bachelor completion program is designed to provide allied health professionals with the education necessary to advance their careers in healthcare. This program moves beyond current allied health expertise to strengthen critical thinking and understanding of the business, management, and educational aspects of healthcare needed for today's professional.
Beginning September 1, 2011, a new articulation agreement between Delta College and Eastern Michigan University (EMU), Ypsilanti, will allow Delta graduates with the AAS in Computer Science and Information Technology - IST/Information Assurance degree a smooth transfer into the EMU Bachelor of Science in Information Assurance.
EMU and Delta College agree that any student who has successfully completed the minimum requirements outlined on the articulation guide may transfer the course credits indicated toward a Bachelor of Science in Information Assurance at Eastern Michigan University.
Under the agreement, EMU will waive the 60-hour rule and allow up to 100 credits to transfer from Delta with a minimum of 30 credit hours be completed in courses offered by EMU. Students who follow the articulated program agreement must apply and be admitted to Eastern Michigan University. Delta College students will receive equal consideration with other students seeking admission and financial aid.
The EMU degree program will provide graduates with the knowledge and skills required to protect the informational technology needs of our nation's critical infrastructure, which includes all government branches and the private sector.
Delta College and Central Michigan University (CMU), Mt. Pleasant, have signed a new transfer agreement allowing a person who has earned an Associate in Arts degree from Delta to transfer 62-64 credits toward the Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Psychology at CMU.
To take full advantage of the agreement students are advised to follow the articulation guide and achieve the minimum grade requirements specified by CMU. The Bachelor of Science degree may be completed through a combination of online and on-site courses offered at CMU and its off-campus centers.
