Matt Ryan Takes Home Michigan Idol Title and A Ticket to Recording Time

Michigan Idol Returns to the Willew Lounge on October 5, 2011

Matt Ryan took home title Michigan Idol Winner, but what was more important to Ryan was his studio time he won with Andy Reed from Reed Recording Company. Ryan also won a spot as a opening act at the upcoming Collin Raye concert at The State Theater in Downtown Bay City on September 22, 2011.

Ryan, said, "Thanks so much to everyone for all the support!! I am calling Andy Reed tomorrow to setup a date to schedule our studio time to get in and get some originals recorded!" Ryan continued, "And can't wait to perform as opener for Collin Raye at the State Theater, hope to see everyone out there!"

Second Place went to Tim Bruski, and third went to the young Morgan Hawkins. According to Host Josh Sharrow it was a close call with first and second place, with third not trailing far behind.

Sharrow said, "This season was a great bunch of contestants, who all had much support by the family and friends and it sure showed to the size of the crowd at the Willew!"

Entertainment Editor for said, "It's just a great way to have fun, make new friends, discover local talent and improve singer's confidence and make them stronger for the next contest.

Idol Judge Dani Vitany, "I think this season was full of talent and entertainment! The scores were so close, and I personally think that everyone did so great! I hope to see all of them back at the next Michigan Idol. We are so happy for Matt Ryan, we hope that everything goes well for him in the studio!"

Idol Judge Hairball John, said, "I have greatly enjoyed the past 6 weeks of competition. It was a pleasure and honor to witness the incredible growth of the contestants from week to week and am very happy for Matt Ryan being crowned Michigan Idol 2011." Owner Scott MacKenzie said, "Wow, what a night! It was a great competition! Congrats go to Matt Ryan and all the contestants! It was a lot of fun and looking forward to the next Michigan Idol here at the Willew starting on October 5, 2011." and would like to Thank Scott, Jodi and the Willew Staff for making the Michigan Idol Show possible.
