Urban/Industrial Space Brings the Artisan Market Indoors.

By: Stacie Lech
Attached to The Loft located at 1103 Johnson Street is a fresh and airy industrial/urban space which is now hosting an artisan market on Saturdays throughout the year.
This week marked the Green Brick Artisan Market's grand opening. Fresh baked goods, produce, pottery and jewelry were some of the items that could be purchased.
The market is the brain child of Debbie Edmonds, the owner of The Loft on Johnson St., but it is a family project. "We want to offer unique items and organic goods, but are open to new ideas." said Edmonds.
The market is open every Saturday from 10-4. Next week vendors include coffee, artisan cheeses, artisan breads, specialty jarred foods, fresh produce, flowers, etc. Artists will change weekly. Limited spaces are available. Contact The Loft at 989-391-9696 for vendor or visitor information. Additional information is also available at www.facebook.com/green-brick-artisan-market.

Vendors this week offered many unique items including flowers and other hand made goods.
The industrial space is urban but airy and is a unique market option in Bay City because it will be indoors and open year round.
The trend in the desire for hand made goods is flourishing.
Fresh baked goods were just one of the food options offered this week.
