Lovin' Your Heart at the Saginaw News Women's Expo

November 6, 2011
By: Stacy Sawyer

The American Heart Association invites you to be loving your heart at the Saginaw News Women's Expo as the Heart Association will be part the festivities on Friday Nov. 11. During the evening there will be several events wrapped around the Heart Association's mission of fighting heart disease.

First will be a Go Red For Women casting call where Jenny Suniga of NBC 25 will be interviewing women as they share how they've made it their mission to fight heart disease. Women who share their stories have the chance to become a spokesperson for the cause - representing Go Red For Women in marketing materials, at events and on GoRedForWomen.org.

The Heart Association will also be featured at the Meijer cooking stage. Stop by to see a heart healthy recipe demonstration and get the Heart Association's Holiday Eating tips guide.

Finally, the evening will include a "Heart Throb" t-shirt auction where the expo vendors are designing heart disease awareness t-shirts that will be auctioned off. Proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association Go Red For Women campaign.
