Bay Area Runners Club Present The 39th Annual St. Patrick's Day Races

Runners Have 3 Months To Prepare For Race

It's January . . . plans for the 39th Annual Al Kayner's St. Patrick's Day Races are already underway. Participates have approximately 3 months to condition their body for the races which will be held March 17- 18, 2012.

Center and Adams Streets in Downtown Bay City is the starting line for the 8k & 5k Run which starts together at 11:45am. (Walkers will start 2 minutes later.)

Races:
  • Saturday March 17, 2012: Expo & Leprechaun Races 10 -3 PM. at the Bay County Community Center. Races start at 2 PM.
  • Sunday March 18, 2012: 8K, 5K runs start at 11:45 AM. followed by walkers 2 minutes later.
  • Late registration is available the day of the race from 9-10:30am at the Scottish Rites Masonic Center at 614 Center.

    Every finisher will receive a Marathon quality medal. Awards are given for overall, masters, and top 3 in each age group for all races. The new Chrono D Tag system, will be used provided by Gault Race Management, which are disposable.

    Since 1977, The Bay Area Runner's Club (BARC) has been running at full tilt! BARC puts on or assists with over 30 race events each year on a year round basis. Most races are 5K to 10K in distance, although BARC does assist with an annual Marathon/20K race each July, and a 1/2 Marathon in September.

    2013 will commemorate 40 years of the "running of the green"! In honor of this mementos occasion, The BARC proudly announces a totally paperless registration process for all 2013 races with all registration being conducted entirely on-line.
