Swim Coach To Be Inducted Into J.G. Sports Hall of Fame

Swim Coach Bob Darbee will be inducted into the John Glenn Sports Hall of Fame on January 20, 2012. Darbee has also been honored as an Inductee into the Bay County Sports HOF.
 

BANGOR TWP. - Longtime swim coach Bob Darbee is among five people selected to the Bangor John Glenn Hall of Fame for the Class of 2011.

Darbee spent 40 years as a swimming coach, racking up an impressive 419 swim meet victories in the process.

Also being inducted in the Class of 2011 are Wayne Blair, Jim Doyle, Nancy Meadows and Larry Rea.

The public is welcome to attend the induction ceremony, which will take place on Jan. 20 at John Glenn High School during halftime of the boys varsity basketball game against Saginaw Nouvel.

Darbee is also an Inductee of the Bay County Sports Hall of Fame.
