On any given night of the week, the music scene in Bay City is alive, well and thriving. This past weekend was no exception.

Playing at The 'Wil-lew' located at 3005 E. Midland Rd., Bay City, MI, was one of the area's favorite country groups, The Steel Wheels Band. This 5 piece ensemble consisting of Dale Michaels, Les Schwab, Rob Dutcher, Andy Coulouris and Paul Hughes, know how to get the crowd pumped and dancing from the first song out of the gate.

Dale, lead vocalist of the band said, "The Wil-Lew is one of our favorite country music party spots in the Tri-Cities." He added, "It's our hometown crowd and a great place to gather people and to perform at, particularly after being out of town."

Steel Wheels, have been playing together since 2006 and have been entertaining fans with their solid, powerful sound ever since. One of the top country bands out of Bay City, they continue to take their music on the road on a regular basis.

April 7th, 2012 the Steel Wheels train will be heading to Auburn Hills, MI to bring their show to popular spot, Toby Keith's-I Love This Bar & Grill.

Entertaining the patrons at Duso's Bar, 604 E. Midland St., Bay City, MI, was crowd-pleaser, 'Derringer'.

Daryl Loguski, originally from Cass City, MI and Larry Ricett, from Midland, MI compromise the two man band playing a variety of instruments and a WIDE range of music.

'Derringer' has a standing gig every Thursday evening, from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm at The Stein Haus located at 1108 N. Water St., in downtown Bay City, MI.

The appreciative crowd at Duso's danced and enjoyed 'Derringers' great music.


Hailing from the UK and bringing his melodic keyboard style to Bay City's The Vault located at 505 E Midland St, was musician, Paul Diello.

Cheeky, yet haunting lyrics and a solid, powerful voice, Diello, is currently on tour with Indie Rock band Darling Waste who headlined the evening.

Diello, who usually plays with an 8 piece ensemble back in his native England, has been playing his acoustic set on this tour. "It's been 24 days so far on this tour", Paul said. "It's been an interesting 24 days", he added laughingly.
