Lights . . . Camera . . . Action . . .

It was non-stop action on the second floor of BARTS on Midland Street in Bay City this past weekend.

The event was the annual Fireworks Telethon Fundraiser on Bay3TV.

"We're off to a great start," said Fireworks Board President Doug Clark, as bands and celebrities streamed on and off the stage as Emcees Jeff Doan and Mike Gwizdala kept the everything moving along with fast-paced banter and good-natured humor.

"This is more a labor of love than a job," said Doan during a few minutes off-camera. Gwizdala was quick to add that it's something he (Gwizdala) looks forward to every year. "I guess it's just what we do when the Fireworks Telethon comes around," Gwizdala said. "Jeff and I just love being here."
