Even if you don't know all the rules during a baseball game, it's truly an American past-time that everyone knows at least some thing about.

Right?

For one family in attendance at Opening Day of the Great Lakes Loons on April 9, they really didn't know what they had in store. "So how does this work? One team bats first and the other team?" asked Sophie Koenigsberger of the United Kingdom.

Not only was it the Koenigsberger family's first visit to Michigan and the Great Lakes Bay Region, but it was their first baseball game ever. Sophie's husband Martin Koenigsberger, an employee of the Dow Chemical Company in the UK, was offered tickets for his family and they were nothing but ecstatic. "We wanted to do something that was really American and we were lucky to be handed four tickets to today's game," Koenigsberger. "It's an amazing state. We've been around the globe and it's been absolutely phenomenal here," Sophie Koenigsberger added.

In its 6th season, it seems each year the Great Lakes Loons has been creating a bigger and better experience for its fans. Upcoming games you won't want to miss include (Click here for more information on the following promotions):
