The 2012 Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Bay County class unveiled the Art S.P.A.R.C. (Students Painting Artistic Representations of our Community) mural project on Thursday, May 31st, 2012 at Waterfall Park, Downtown Bay City.

The Leadership class chose a project that joined artistic forces with Bay County art students and collaborated with businesses to create and display murals around the downtown area.

Six Bay County schools lent the hand of talented artists and thus, the mural project took off in full force.

Students researched Bay City history and painted depictions of events and heritage pertinent to the area. Murals will be mounted on nine buildings in the downtown area.

A walking tour brochure is available at the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce located at 901 Saginaw St., to direct visitors to the various sites.
