He Takes the Hopeless and Gives Them Hope Once Again

By: Randy Badgerow
When we are first in recovery, or when we are thinking about starting our recovery, from addiction we feel the furthest from God at that point.
We see people who seem to have never struggled with life on life's terms and they seem to be condescending toward us which sometimes makes us feel even more "less than."
Just remember, God takes all problems and situations and makes them good. He uses the weak, hurting, heartbroken, and cast off people and uses them for great things so that He gets the Glory. He offers us Grace and Mercy because He loves us not because of anything we do or can do or will do.
He took Abraham, a childless liar, and made him the Father of nations. He took David who was an adulterer and murderer and made his bloodline produce the Savior. He took Solomon, a worshiper of other gods and made him the wisest and richest man of his time.
Noah was a drunk; Isaiah was religiously wrong man and He gave him the gift of prophecy. He took a virgin teenage girl, Mary, and made her the mother of our Lord and Savior. He took some fishermen and made them the greatest leaders of their time. He took me a man of many issues called me His friend and released me of my bondages through the twelve steps.
He can do that and more for you.
