Trinity Episcopal Church is pleased to announce that the historical committee has completed the registration of the stained glass windows with the Michigan Stained Glass Census.
The Census is housed at Michigan State University and endeavors to register all stained glass--whether in churches, homes, businesses or elsewhere--in the state.
Using the documentation printed in the book "The Stained Glass Windows of Trinity Episcopal Church" edited by Marshall Carter and a DVD of digital pictures provided by Anne Trahan Trinity submitted their application and received word on July 25th that the materials had been registered.
Now the windows are on display at www.michiganstainedglass.org for all to see.
Seventeen buildings in Bay County have submitted their stained glass. Instructions for registering your stained glass are on the website.
The Census presents a way of preserving a valuable historical resource if something should happen to the building that houses them.
