Bay City, Michigan - Do-Care Family Enrichment Center, a
program of Do-All, Inc., is coordinating the Community
E.T.C. (Educational Treasure Chest) program for the 7
th consecutive year.
School supplies are being distributed
August 21-24, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m.
at the former Hampton Theatre. The application process
for the program began in May with applications distributed
in the schools and available through human service
organizations in the community throughout the summer.
Over 1,000 children have requested school supplies
through the program. Each child receives a new backpack
filled with grade-appropriate school supplies. Last
year's drive provided 1,048 children with supplies. "To
be successful in school, children need the proper tools,"
according to Kristal Corrion, Do-Care Manager.
"This is truly a community effort, different churches,
businesses, service organizations and individuals all work together to collect the supplies for the kids, and we have
one single distribution point. This really is an
investment in the future of our community, an investment
into the education of our youth," stated Corrion. In
addition, this program is available year-round as supplies
are available.
Donations may be brought to the Do-Care Family
Enrichment Center, 711 Ninth St., Bay City. Financial
donations for the purchase of supplies may be made to DoAll, Inc., 1400 S. Lincoln, Bay City, MI 48708.
If you have questions about this program or would like
more information, please contact Kristal Corrion at 989-
