Your Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and Bay Area Community Foundation has teamed up to lead the development of a county-wide strategic planning initiative in an effort to help move the Bay Area forward in a positive, planned manner.

Business, government, education and community leaders are actively participating as members of our Strategic Planning Steering Committee. The group is led by Tara Cox, Business Development Manager for Dobson Healthcare Services, Inc.

As part of the strategic planning process, a Community Leaders Summit is scheduled for Tuesday, September 18th at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bay City-Riverfront.

Dr. Eric Gilbertson, President, Saginaw Valley State University, will provide the keynote address. The four-hour session is designed to assure input from community leaders throughout the Bay Area.

The ideas, opinions and input received at the facilitated forum will represent the foundation of Bay County's guiding focus and vision for the next ten years.

Charles Kettering said, "Nothing ever built arose to touch the skies unless someone dreamed that is should, someone believed that is should and someone willed that it must."

Let's make no little plans for our community!
