Are They Running Out of Names for Scary Movies?

September 9, 2012
By: Josh Sharrow

It seems (at least, to me) that big shot movie producers are running out of names for scary movies.

With movies like the following, it seems pretty clear to me they need to hire a new "name-thinking" department.

The Hole
The Cabin in The Woods
The Woman in Black
The Innkeepers
The House on The Corner
The House at The End of The Street

Wait . . . You mean to tell me that the house on the corner AND the house at the end of the street are BOTH haunted?

What the hell?

Here's an inventive title "Jack & Diane"!?!

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I thought Jack & Diane were just "two American kids growin' up in the heartland". Now Diane (in the movie) is "struggling to keep her love alive while hiding the secret from Jack that her newly awakened sexual desire is giving her werewolf-like visions".

Really?!

I'm pretty sure that any TV show today could be made to sound like a scary movie. Here is proof.

Two And a Half Men

Big Bang Theory

2 Broke Girls

Hells Kitchen

True Blood

Burn Notice

The Bachelorette

Mike & Molly
