Amazing weather, great art, talent musicians and strolling through the streets of beautiful Downtown Bay City, were just a few of the reasons to enjoy this months '1st Thursdays Downtown Gallery Walk'.

An added bonus was the East Bank Market fundraiser 'Pies For Peace'. Held to benefit Bay Area Women's Center and to raise awareness against domestic violence, this pie flinging event was a huge success.

East Bank Market (EBM) guests purchased raffle tickets for a chance to throw a pie in the face of such notables as Mayor Chris Shannon, Steve Armstrong and more.

EBM organizer Darraugh Opelski was pleased with the results and thanked everyone who helped raise $1,100 for the Women's Center.

Margaret de Hues won the pie baking contest and a $50 gift card, for her extremely delicious Pecan Pumpkin Pie entry. The French Cocount, also Margaret's, was another favorite, although ALL the entries were scrumptious.

Bustling Downtown Bay City-it's the place to be!
