Weekend Movie Update
(Updated Thursday 9/13/2012)

September 13, 2012
By: Sean Connelly

We've entered the calm before the holiday movie storm with an underwhelming list of movies coming out over this coming weekend. You really don't have too much of a choice for "new" films at all, so I'm going to recommend you catch up on the slew of movies you may have missed as the whirlwind that was the last few weeks of summer releases passed us by.

However, if you've already seen all of them, here's your "new" movie rundown. Pixar re-releases there classic, Finding Nemo, with a 3D treatment. There's another (and most probably awful) Resident Evil movie hitting theaters, which is also in 3D. And finally, a heart-warming tale about a military family.

Hot chicks with guns... HOW CAN YOU SCREW THIS UP!?

Now, before you Pixar lovers get all up in arms about my lack of enthusiasm... I do love me some Finding Nemo. Like, a lot. And while I understand that we, as movie goers, have to put up with the 3D re-releases and the HD re-masterings to put more money in the pockets of these studios so that they can have money to create the original content that I so desire... it doesn't mean I have to like the idea. Granted, if there was any Pixar movie that comes to mind that could really take advantage of 3D technology, it would be Nemo, so I'm glad this is the film that got that treatment.

I blame Disney/Pixar for my irrationally crippling fear of sharks.

Still, I think there are better options for your hard earned cash... but, as always, in case you don't feel like listening to me here is the list of movies that are hitting theaters this weekend:
