With the return of the fall TV shows this week (and in to next week) many of you may be finding a trip to the movies less and less appealing as summer is winding down. Well I'm here to tell you that you're going to be missing out on some incredible cinema.

Gyllenhaal and Pena in End of Watch

There's no shortage of good films coming to a theater near you with four movies hitting the silver screen this weekend. You've got your action movie with the Judge Dredd remake, Dredd 3D, which is getting great reviews for a re-done classic. There's an incredible action/drama film starring Jake Gyllenhaal called End of Watch (seriously, check out the trailer below. It's intense.) A new Clint Eastwood drama about an aging baseball scout building his relationship with his daughter on what may be his last recruiting trip, and finally for you horror fans, the first of many movies to come in the weeks leading up to Halloween, the House at the End of the Street.

If you're a fan of their particular genre, all four of these films are strong selections and worth your hard earned dollars. I'm having a hard time picking between End of Watch and Dredd 3D, to be honest, so I'll probably just end up seeing both and I recommend you do the same.

Here's the rundown for the Friday September 21st releases:

During a routine day on the job, Dredd is assigned to train and evaluate Cassandra Anderson, a rookie with powerful psychic abilities thanks to a genetic mutation.
