The competition is on the rise in Karaoke for Ka$h Season 1 with both the talent and the contestant total increasing for week 3 at the Willew Lounge.
This week saw the return of former Michigan Idol contestant Debi Schmeider, a favorite in seasons past, as well as some new faces. One of the new faces to grace the competition was week 3's winner, Lisa Lambert. Edging out Schmeider by only 3 points on the final vote, Karaoke for Ka$h was not the contestant's first victory in a singing competition. "I used to sing out at the Auburn hotel," said Lambert, "I won nearly a dozen times at the competition they had out there."

Lambert was no stranger to the Willew Lounge either, frequenting the establishment during past Wednesday night Michigan Idol/Karaoke for Ka$h performances. "Oh I come here all the time, and Josh (Sharrow) always wants me to sing," said Lambert, "this week I finally decided to."
It was a decision that finally paid off for the singer, in the form of a $50 check and an invitation to the final round on November 14th, 2012 and the chance at $500, a prize that a couple of contestants have already won. Mandy Glashauser and Jesse Fisher were back in the competition, after winning week's 1 and 2 respectively, further honing their skills for their chance at that $500 grand prize. "We're not going to stay away," said Fisher, "We've actually got some pretty fun stuff planned between to two of us. It's going to be fairly amazing."
The judges tend to agree with Fisher, especially judge and former Michigan Idol winner Travis Patten. "If you close your eyes for just a second, you'd swear that it was Staind up there singing," said Patten on Fisher's performance of Staind's Epiphany.

Dave Bernreuter was also excited about Mandy's performance, warning other contestants, "She's getting warmed up for the finals, guys, you better be ready."
Karaoke for Ka$h returns to the Willew Lounge every Wednesday night until the finale on November 14th. Each week there will be a $50 winner, with the winner also receiving an invitation to the final night where a $500 cash prize will be awarded. Nightly winners are not discouraged from returning, however they can only win the $50 prize once.
