Business is Good at Eye-Opener Breakfast

Close to 200 meet at Bay Valley Resort & Conference Center

Everything is upbeat at the monthly Chamber Eye-Opener Breakfast held at the Bay Valley Resort & Conference Center.

Master of Ceremonies Eric Jhyla keeps things moving with a bit of news, weather and sports and then it's time for a good breakfast and a more than a little networking.

The food is good. There's fun in the air. And according to anyone in attendance, "It's a great way to start the business day.

There were close to 200 on hand to hear a brief talk concerning the Air and Army National Guard from Major General Greg Vadnais.

State Representative Charlie Brunner was in town for the big announcement at Uptown at River's Edge but picked up $47 in the 50/50 raffle.

There was talk about health care and the upcoming Hell's Half Mile Film Festival.

Brick awards were passed out to businesses that have remodeled and/or re-furbished their business in the recent past. Dunlop Pontiac, Populace Coffee and Wireless Zone were all recognized for their business upgrades.

Bridget Hollingsworth of Health Plus was the Breakfast Sponsor. Charles Brunner was the 50/50 winner and hyped the upcoming announcement concerning Uptown at River's Edge. Rob Clark of Bay City Times put in a good word for the Hell's Half Mile Film Festival scheduled at the State Theatre on the weekend.
