Earlier this year, GEICO started running TV commercials in which two men named Jimmy and Ronnie (Alex Harvey of REO Chuckwagon) playing a guitar and a mandolin, respectively, talk about how happy saving money on insurance can make someone, and using humorous examples:
Those ads are still running as November rolls onto the calendar.
I'm sure you've seen some . . . if not all of this Geico series.
Here they are:
Happier than a Witch in a broom factory . . .
Happier than a Bodybuilder directing traffic . . .
Happier than Gallagher at a Farmer's Market . . .
Happier than a Slinky on an escalator . . .
Good news . . .
I've just received inside information that a new batch of Geico commercials are currently in production. And because of the success of the advertisements above . . . the "Happier Than" theme will be continued.
I apologize.
I don't know (exactly) what the next series of phrases to be used will be . . . but here's my best guess . . . after interviewing everyone that has ever watched television and works in a small office building at 509 Center Avenue in Bay City.
Happier than a 3-legged man at an ass-kicking contest . . .
