Karaoke for Ka$h Recap
November 4, 2012

The Willew Lounge in Bay City has played host to Karaoke for Ka$h, and what was formerly Michigan Idol, for a little over a year now. There have been some truly incredible performances in that short amount of time. Some very risque duets, performers cruising the bar, getting up on tables, dancing on said tables, and even a marriage proposal. You never know what to expect from these performers, and that's part of what makes the competition so exciting.

This season has had no shortage of excitement. With the addition of some new faces that possess incredible talent, as well as some seasoned favorites showcasing the skills they've built up over the last year. Once again, there has been no shortage of quality performers. Which is why the new format of weekly winners is something that has gone over so well with the competitors.
Each week a winner is selected from all qualifying performers. The winner is awarded $50 that night and then offered a chance to come back to the Willew on November 14th for their chance at the $500 grand prize. Those who have won previously may still attend and have the judges critique them, but they can no longer win until the final night. Only those who have won in the past may participate during the finale.

"This way, even if you don't win the whole thing," says week 2 winner Jesse Fisher, "you're still recognized for your talents. Which is awesome."
