Opportunity Connection, a website of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Business & Education Partnership, is a free resource for teachers, students, employers and parents. It offers hundreds of opportunities provided by over 50 local employers such as job shadowing, field trips, mentoring, career day speakers and resources.

Opportunity Connection is a highly structured site which offers links to additional resources and information related to youth and education. A beneficial feature of the site is it connects students directly with businesses.

Currently, Bay County students are looking for job shadowing opportunities in the following careers:
    Air Conditioning/Furnace Installation * Accounting * Audio Technicians * Automotive/Diesel Service * Computer Maintenance * Computer Networking * Cosmetology * Dental Hygenist * Film Production * Firefighter * Hospitality * Historian * KB-K9 Training * Landscaper * Law Enforcement * Massage Therapist * Mortician * Music Production * Musician * Nursing * Phlebotomy * Physical Therapy * Politics * Taxidermy * Veterinarian
Several Bay County teachers are looking for volunteers to speak to students about the following careers: plumbing; veterinarian; and concrete specialist.

Also offered through Opportunity Connection, is a "Resource Exchange". This is where teachers come when they need something special for their classrooms.
