Partnering with: Bay Area Chamber of Commerce

Homelessness is on the rise, and with winter on its way, the statistics are chilling. Your Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and Health Alliance Plan (HAP) are asking you to help children stay warm and dry this winter with HAP's "Boots for Kids" program.

From now until the end of January, your Bay Area Chamber will be collecting "new" children's winter boots that will be distributed to the Bay City Good Samaritan Rescue Mission.

The Good Samaritan Rescue Mission, a division of the City Rescue Mission of Saginaw, is a nonprofit faith-based organization, that provides emergency assistance to people of Mid-Michigan in their time of need. GSRM's goal is to fully address the needs faced by the homeless individual or family, to assist them with the immediate need for shelter, and to provide the tools that will lead them to become a productive member of their community.

Your Bay Area Chamber of Commerce is encouraging members to help our community by donating a pair of boots, a store gift card, cash or a check (made out to the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission with "Boots for Kids" in the memo). Cash donations are tax-deductible, and 100% of all contributions are used for the purchase of new boots.

A drop-off box is in our office, located at 901 Saginaw Street, Bay City. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Your Bay Area Chamber and HAP are committed to improving the quality of life for families in our community. Help by preventing local children from facing a bitterly cold winter with a warm pair of boots!
