Dr. Safadi
McLaren Bay Region welcomes Interventional Radiologist Rami Safadi, MD to the medical staff. Dr. Safadi will work with diagnostic and cardiovascular staff to provide minimally invasive treatment options for cardiovascular diseases.
"I chose to come to McLaren Bay Region because it's a unique place that has both qualified staff and state-of-the-art equipment, which is hard to find in towns the size of Mt. Pleasant," said Dr. Safadi. "I have the best of both worlds here - the best technological advances in a friendly, small-town setting. In addition, the unique procedures I provide give me the satisfaction of seeing the impact of my services on the community."
Dr. Safadi is board certified in diagnostic and vascular/interventional radiology, and has been practicing for nearly 20 years. His specialties include:
angioplasty;
endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms;
radiofrequency ablation for cancer;
stent placement;
venous disease treatment;
and vertebroplasty.
"I do my best to help patients understand their treatment plan and all alternative options available to them," Dr. Safadi said. "My primary goal is the safety of my patients and providing the best outcome using the least invasive methods possible."
Dr. Safadi attended medical school at the University of Jordan School of Medicine in Amman, Jordan, and completed a fellowship in cardiovascular and interventional radiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH.
He participates in local cancer research, takes part in global health initiatives, such as education and training in third-world countries, and is involved with the Doctors Without Borders organization, which works in nearly 70 countries providing medical aid to those most in need.
Dr. Safadi's office is located at the Heart & Vascular Center, 1221 South Drive, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858 (989) 953-5325. His secondary office remains at McLaren Bay Region in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
