Saginaw Sting Set For MNF Game With Flint

SAGINAW, MI - Its been awhile since the Saginaw Sting have hit the gridiron in front of their own fans.

So they're planning on holding a welcome home party when they finally do.

The Sting opened the 2013 season at The Dow Event Center on Feb. 8, but hit the road for three straight games followed by a bye week. But now Saginaw is heading back home for a game on Monday, March 18 against the Flint Fury.

Flint and a team out of Lexington, Kentucky are joining the CIFL in midseason to help fill out Kane County's schedule in anticipation of playing a full season next year.

Kickoff against Flint is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday at The Dow, however the Sting are hosting a tailgating party indoors that runs from 5:30-6:30 p.m. before the game.

Admission to the tailgating party is included with the price of a ticket and includes food and drink specials, in addition to free coupons given away by sponsors and promotional giveaways. A DJ will be on hand to play music, while kids can get their faces paint and temporary tattoos.

In addition to the football game, Saginaw will feature halftime entertainment with an autograph session following the game where fans can come onto the field to meet their favorite players.
